Our Recruitment Process
We have a really straightforward recruitment process, we want to create a platform to set you up to show us your best.
For us, keeping it simple means you can focus on understanding if our people, values and the work we do are right for you.
We pride ourselves on having a flexible recruitment process that fits around our candidates. If there's anything you need from us to make sure our interview gives you the best opportunity to succeed, then just let us know.
The Stages
One of our Recruiters will be in touch first.
This call normally lasts 10-15 minutes. We will talk about Answer, the type of work we do and an overview of the role. We’ll also ask you some questions about your current situation; what do you know about us, why you’re looking to work here.
Here we’d advise asking any “People” questions; anything about our benefits, career progression or approach to flexible working.
This interview will be with 2 people from the team you’re applying to work with.
This interview will involve a run through of your technical skills and experience. It will also involve a technical exercise (either pair programming, a whiteboard exercise or project brief) which the Recruiter will give you more information on in advance to help you to prepare.
Asking questions around what the role involves and the day to day responsibilities of the job will be a good idea in this interview.
We're happy to do this stage in person or over video, whatever you think will be best for you.
This interview will be with 2 people. Usually Gary, our founder or one of our Directors, and the Capability Lead.
It will focus on our culture and values. We will talk about our values and what they mean to us, as well as understanding what values are important to you and how you like to work.
This interview is about making sure Answer is right for you, as much as the other way around.
Here, we advise you to ask as many questions around our business model, our ambitious growth plans and anything to do with Answer as a business.
